Yoga for All

This easy standing pose allows you to focus on deep, rhythmic breathing—an essential element of healthy skin.Yogis and yoginis believe that drawing oxygen into, through, and out of the body releases harmful toxins and keeps vital systems running optimally.

This one is difficult if your hamstrings are especially tight (hence the importance of warming up first), but luckily, you don’t have to touch the ground or keep your legs pin-straight to get the pose’s skin benefits. “Even if you just bend over at the waist, close your eyes, and let your head hang … you’re clearing everything out and your blood is switching directions,” says Mary Fanto, an instructor at U Studio Yoga. She suggests trying that for one minute a day and working up to five.

Bharadvaja’s Twist

Both Fanto and Paskel say that twisting positions are great for digestive health, which is important for moving toxic properties out of the organs. “Anytime you’re clearing your body of waste, it’s better for your skin,” Fanto says. However, simply twisting isn’t enough—deep, cleansing breaths are a necessary component to the pose. “If you don’t follow up with really good breath and water, then the toxins get released, but then they get trapped,” Paskel points out.

Utkatasana (Chair Pose)

Challenging poses like Chair make the heart beat faster, increasing the circulation of blood flow throughout the body and prompting the skin to sweat out impurities. Chair pose lengthens and strengthens the thigh muscles. Warrior I and Half Moon Pose are more advanced poses that also work the legs.

Its a believe that a woman should put a kukum tilak on her forehead as that is for her husband’s long life. There is also a scientific reason behind tilak on forehead. Tilak is made up of chandan or turmeric powder and both of them are cool. There is Aajna chakra between eyebrows and applying tilak on that spot makes a cool effect and also good for memory. Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini is a Sanskrit word that literally means “snake.” Kundalini is also called “serpent power” because this sleeping spiritual force in every human being lies coiled at the base of the spine. Once awakened, it rises through a series of centers, also called chakras, and finds expression in the form of spiritual knowledge and mystical visions. According to the Tantric tradition, the human body contains seven centers of subtle energy (chakras), referred to as “lotuses,” through whose channels the #kundalini  rises. The concept of kundalini can also be examined from a strictly psychological perspective. From this perspective kundalini can be thought of as a rich source of psychic or libidinous energy in our unconscious. The kundalini is coiled up like a very tight spring, and when released there is sometimes an explosion of power. Properly directed, the kundalini will travel up a tube in the energy body that lies close to the spine. Without proper direction, the release of kundalini can be very uncomfortable and possibly damaging.

Earthquake in India/Nepal

10 minutes ago the whole Delhi is shocked with sudden earthquake. Earthquake of 7.4 magnitude in Ritcher scale was felt in Delhi, Kolkata, NCR.
Seismicity in the Himalaya dominantly results from the continental collision of the India and Eurasia plates, which are converging at a relative rate of 40-50 mm/yr. Northward underthrusting of India beneath Eurasia generates numerous earthquakes and consequently makes this area one of the most seismically hazardous regions on Earth. The surface expression of the plate boundary is marked by the foothills of the north-south trending Sulaiman Range in the west, the Indo-Burmese Arc in the east and the east-west trending Himalaya Front in the north of India.
